About Marcela Olivia Dorantes
Dorantes’ illustrious career includes representation by the esteemed Watergate Gallery in Washington, DC, and in London by Lisa Gray of Flux Exhibition. Over the years, she has exhibited extensively across prestigious venues: 54 The Gallery in Mayfair, London; the Leonardo da Vinci Art Gallery in Milan; the MEAM European Museum of Modern Art in Barcelona—where she received an award in 2019; the National Army Museum in London; the Museum of Oxford; and Arthouse London. Her work has also graced esteemed spaces such as the Laurenskerk in Rotterdam and the De Beurs in Amsterdam. Residency of Art with American University – Corciano Italy.
Solo exhibitions include those at London’s Former Arthouse and Washington, DC’s Watergate Gallery, Foundry Gallery, and Yellow Barn Gallery in Glen Echo. Dorantes has contributed to distinguished group exhibitions at the Museum of the Americas in Miami, the National Academy of Art in New Delhi, and numerous institutions in the Washington, DC area, including NBC, Various Embassies, Hopkins University, etc.
Although primarily self-taught, her relentless dedication, conscientious work ethic, and profound reverence for nature and animals underscore the authenticity of her artistic journey. Dorantes remains a formidable presence in the global art landscape, continually evolving and leaving an indelible mark on the world.
